Keith Morgan joined the firm in 2018 bringing extensive experience in the investigation, management and trial of complex civil and criminal matters garnered over the course of his career. He is a former Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is licensed to practice law in Mississippi, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Mr. Morgan is originally from Charleston, West Virginia and received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and his law degree from the University of Mississippi.
During his tenure with the FBI, Mr. Morgan served in the Washington, D.C., Jackson, Mississippi and Los Angeles field offices. While assigned to Jackson, Mr. Morgan was responsible for the initiation, implementation and management of "Operation Pretense", the largest and most successful undercover public corruption investigation in Mississippi history. The case has been the subject of a book by James R. Crocket, Operation Pretense: The FBI's Sting on County Corruption in Mississippi (University Press of Mississippi 2003) and a report by Mike Wallace, 60 Minutes: The Preacher and the Stingman (CBS News 1988).
Mr. Morgan has participated in numerous class action and mass action cases, representing thousands of individuals harmed by the negligent conduct of others, in Mississippi and throughout the United States. He has also been involved in the business sector through his work with technology start-up ventures primarily related to contract, intellectual property and employment law. His areas of practice include class action, mass tort, personal injury, product liability, corporate law, commercial litigation and criminal matters.
